The five basic rules
These are our general principles, which will guide our community in times of struggle. (Or mediocrity.)
- We will maintain honor and repute.
- We will place the project above our egos.
- We will value pragmatism over purity.
- We will act swiftly and decisively.
- We pride ourselves on our reputations.
Behaviour policy
Our moderation is aggressive and immediate. We are not slaves to bureaucracy.
All posts must be in English and free of major defects.
Abusive posts, personal attacks, and trolling are an immediate permanent ban.
Deliberate ignorance and general stupidity is forbidden.
Unsolicited proselytization of personal beliefs is forbidden.
We welcome all people regardless of their inherent attributes. We have zero tolerance for bigotry, extremism, discrimination, dogwhistles, toxic in-jokes, or terminally online internet discourse.
Content policy
All content will be licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). You agree that all content you contribute to the Wiki will fall under this license.
Content incompatible with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, or which cannot reasonably be considered "fair use", is forbidden.
Content irrelevant to the scope of the project is forbidden.
All content, including edit history and user discussions, will be archived indefinitely for public viewing. Do not contribute anything you do not want preserved.
Generative AI content, such as ChatGPT output and AI imagery, is forbidden.
Image policy
Use official assets when possible, and use in-game screenshots when this is not possible.
When using in-game screenshots, take them at the highest possible quality at maximum settings, and omit elements that are not relevant to the subject of the screenshot. For instance, HUD elements and the player character. Do not use compressed JPEG screenshots.
Upload all images in lossless PNG, unless the original image was in a different format. We can appropriately compress images after they are uploaded.
File names should be reasonably descriptive of the contents of the image.
All filenames should be in lowercase.
Tone
Strict neutrality is not required where it interferes with correctness.
Dry humor is allowed insofar as it's not distracting. Also, you have to be funny.
